My name is Katherine Venegas, although most know me as Kathycaboom. From a very young age I’ve felt attracted by art, so much so, at age 9 I asked to get my first tattoo. It goes without saying, I was not able to get one at the time. 

 

My training was in graphic design, photography and illustration. Years later, after overcoming a long process in 2012 I started tattooing almost by chance, and that 9-year-old-me came back to life. 

 

I’ve worked in Spanish and international tattoo studios, learning from each experience, each culture and each colleague I had the opportunity to share my journey with. 

 

Kathycaboom is the explosion of colors, designs of my own that can be adapted to any format from skin to whichever print material. 

 

My goal is to make each person feel special, convey dynamism, joy, peace, and good vibes so the passion I have for tattooing becomes a mutual feeling and the experience is optimal. 

 

My own clients define my work as explosive, yet each piece also has a factor of cuteness, delight and grace.
